Classic bushcraft folding knife Ref 014

Classic bushcraft folding knife manufactured for a meaningful reason,

The inspiration of this piece comes from the knowledge shared by my Grandfather, who introduced me with his flickering hands to the handmade folding knives world, but also, he taught me to love the wild, to work on the fields, to cultivate the land and how to survive with the yield results.

Now, those memories come alive again, but this time with my son. From time to time we go into the wilds, he is a bushcraft and outdoor user and a few days ago he gave me the idea behind this creation, a classic folding knife capable of endure the hardest tasks on the open fields.

That’s why I decided to make this folding knife, keeping the classical shape from the Albacete folding knives but increasing its dimensions to a big and new level; It has been manufacture with a bigger handle for a better grip, a reinforced nickel silver bolsters and a bigger blade of 13,3 cm (5.23″), since it’s the idoneal length for the tasks it has been designed for. The blade has a really aggressive-shape point with a notch on the blade’s spine that allows you to make fire using a firesteel.

However, please kindly note that this is a classic folding knife, so it comes with a palanquilla locking system, it’s not the same than a framelock, linerlock or any other locking system designed for the hardest tasks. This folding knife takes the inspiration of the modern cutlery but it hasn’t been designed for these tasks. This means it not fully functional and using it as a bushcraft or outdoor knife may break it or ends in injuries for the user.

Mirror polished half hollow grind blade made on 440 with a total length of 13,3 cm. (5.23″). Decorated blade’s spine manually filed using a file and burin.

The blade’s thickness is 2,7 mms.  (0,1″).

The deer stag antler handle has a length of 15,2 cm (6″), it has been secure and decorated with a reinforced nickel silver bolster handmade file and decorated.

The overall length is 28,5 cm (11,22″) while the blade is locked down. Once the blade is hidden in the handle its length is 15,2 cm (6″)

Filed and decorated palanquilla rodea with “teja” spring made on inox steel bedecked with filed notches.

The artisan signature can be found in the back of the palanquilla.
